Sunday, September 17, 2006 (Hissar):

The CBI conducted raids at the Vishwas Senior Secondary School in Hissar on Sunday, and found the clothes of some girls and some CDs.

The school’s Director, Rishi Sagar, is accused of sexually exploiting some of the students.

Sagar was sent to police remand till September 18, and the police is likely to seek an extension.

The police said the raids were part of the probe in the matter, and the report will be submitted on Monday.

Simmering anger

Meanwhile, anger continues to simmer in Hissar after Sagar confessed to sexual abuse of four students in the past month.

Sagar was arrested after a 13-year old student charged him with abuse, sparking riots by parents.

Schools in the area have since reopened after closing in protest at the reports.

The school’s Principal, Maya Mishra, had resigned and distanced herself from the incidents.
