VOLUNTEERS OF Forum Against Child Sexual Abuse took out a rally and organized a meet to mark ‘International Child Sexual Abuse Protest Day’, here on Saturday.
The ‘Anti-Child Sexual Abuse’ rally began from Chetan Bal Vidya Mandir and culminated in a meeting at Bharat Mata Mandir. The rallyists carried placards with messages of ‘Yaun hinsa se aazadi’, ‘Ling bhed se azadi’ and ‘Bhed bhav se aazadi’, etc. Presiding over the meet, Dr. Kumud Ranjan lamented that despite children being precious treasure of the country, unfortunately they were not safe in our society.
Social worker Ranjana Gaur observed that child sexual abuse was an open violation of child rights. She said that child sexual abuse obstructs mental, physical and emotional development of a child. Dr. Madhu Kushwaha dwelt on child rights and laws meant to protect their rights. Dr. Rachana Srivastava stressed on the need to sensitize society towards child rights.
