Chester – A Highland Mills man has been charged with sexually abusing an 11-year-old girl, the second time in as many weeks he’s faced such charges.
Glen Herbert, 34, was charged with misdemeanor sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a child. The charges stem from an incident around December 2005 in which Herbert touched the girl’s breasts and vagina, according to Chester town police.
The girl is the second victim to come forward, according to police. The first was in Woodbury about two weeks ago when Herbert was first arrested.

Sadly this guy still says he is innoccent and will get off. All because 1 child messed up her dates. Don’t think it will happen but who knows. I know he is guility and more than likely has more victims than just the 2 here.

This man pled out on both cases when faced with the witness list from the DA. He will be sentenced 3/10/08. There was justice for both of the girls that stuck it out but not for his girlfriend’s daughter. The charges for her were dropped before the DA could include them in the grand jury. As far as I know both girls are doing well and even though they were scared to see him they were willing to face him in court so they could see him pay for his crimes. Sadly I doubt he will get the time he deserves in jail since the DA offered him 2 years for each case. Time will tell. Just wanted to let others know that having the courage to face these monsters does give you the ability to get past what they have done to you. It takes the power away and they have nothing. If only more women/girls and men/boys had the strength to come and face these people maybe we would see less of it in the papers and more of them behind bars.
