BUFFALO, N.Y. Authorities say that an 8-year-old boy who was charged with sexually abusing a 6-year-old boy told police he got the idea after watching an R-rated movie.
According to Buffalo police, the movie contained scenes of prison rape. A woman contacted police Friday after discovering the boys in her son’s room.The 6-year-old was treated in Women and Children’s Hospital.The Buffalo News reports that the 8-year-old, who was released to his mother, faces charges of criminal sexual act and aggravated sexual abuse, both felonies. He also faces charges of misdemeanor forcible touching and sexual misconduct.

Arrest and charge an 8 year old child with felonies and then execute him. Oh yea, this makes a lot of sense.
Maybe he is making up the part about seeing it in a movie. He is really just loaded with testosterone and dreaming about his next victim.
Children are sponges. Their forming minds take what they see and hear and repeat it. I have seen children turned against their own loving grandparents by hate-filled parents.
Any child acting-out in such a manner needs to have his parents investigated before we arrest him and ruin his entire life before he even knows he is alive. What does anyone really remember about his or her thoughts at eight years old? An 8 year old is not an adult, wake up America!

Evil lives in many people of all age groups and at many levels of intensity. I am deeply disturbed at the coddling that goes on in dealing with the people who choose the side of evil. Evil needs to be hit hard and head on regardless of age. Start treating these evil people the way they need to be treated and stop making excuses for them.

Newsflash: Kids lie to save their own asses when they live in fear of their parents/caretakers. Anyone who doesn’t get that should shut the hell up because they have no fucking idea what they are talking about – they were obviously never one of those kids.
An eight year old who has not been abused won’t wake up one morning and decide to go rape his friend solely because he saw it once in a movie. This poor boy needs protection and treatment!
God I hope that the people in Buffalo involved in this case have more fucking intelligence than you people.

You are insane…shoot this kid “he’s no good”and all sex offenders? You are sick and need help yourself. I hope you or a loved one gets arrested for something sex related. This is an 8 yr old boy who was experimenting with a very adult subject he was not ready to see in a movie. Murder is worse than anything this child could have done. When are people going to understand that the label of sex offender includes public urination, changing clothes in a parking lot(like after surfing or swimming), and mooning anyone? America needs to get informed and lose the stereotype of sex offenders. Here in OR we have 3 married couples registering for making out in their cars. NO victim No kids just 3 married couples. We have 2 boys who mooned the bus as their friends drove by. They now have to register. Elvis Presley married Presila when she was 14. Howard hughes had many girls around 14-15. Roosevelt did too. My grand father at 24 married my grand mother when she was 15. Look at your family tree and see who would be a sex offender today. This is prejudice in its rawest form.

I’m a survivor of childhood (sexual) abuse and I came here looking for potential resources for my life coaching clients. Is there anything that can be said about this situation that would help anyone grow? In addition to being sexually abused by adults when I was a child, I was abused by my teenage babysitter. He was habitually abused by the same adults. I agree with a former poster that there’s at least a chance the 8 year old had formerly been abused by adults — or perhaps exposed to more than one instance of violent porn. However, it is possible that this was an isolated exposure to one movie.
What about the 6 year old? They say the child was treated at a hospital — but they did not say the extent of the treatment needed. It is possible that not much physical trauma was involved, which would be good, but what about emotional or mental trauma? Does anyone in the Buffalo area have additional news on this story? I hope the 6 year old child’s parents are given better resources than just a clean bill of health from a trauma unit.
On the side of the 8 year old, it’s possible that this was not a sexual crime per-se. I suppose it depends on exactly what the 8 year old saw in the movie & replicated in person. 8 year olds can be quite violent towards their peers in any setting, but it’s yet another thing to associate the violence with physical/sexual gratification which can form a lifelong attachment between the violence and expressions of emotional outbursts or sexuality.

You know, I agree with JW Kopp. Sex Offenders deserve nothing more than to be lined up and shot- the serious offenders. Not the kids who moon people, obviously, and not so much this little boy. Also, this comment is nothing like the nazi’s. Jews are not bad people, they never did anything to hurt anyone. Sex Offenders have. They live their lives to assault their victims, to ruin lives, to KILL. You people who have commented negatively in response to Kopp do not belong on this site. You must learn the pain and suffering of a victim before you can say “oh that person just raped my son/daughter for 3 years. That’s ok. 10 years in prison’ll fix ‘em!” You should be shot yourself. Maybe Kopp is the mother or father of the little victim boy. Hell, if my kid was abused as seriously as I can imagine this boy was, I’d leave the same comment. This 8-year-old needs help. He must have been abused by an adult. This could have just been him acting on the movie, with no prior knowledge, because kids really don’t know…what was he watching? It couldn’t have been just a regular old rated R movie. It had to have been some hardcore porn. Poor kid. He needs help, not a jail sentence.
